History

April, 1944

Our founder, originally a metal roofer, started a business making gardening tools from tin.

March, 1966

With the bonsai community in mind, and using knowledge passed down from the founder, the second generation owner decided to specialize in watering cans made using copper, brass and stainless steel.

December 12, 2005

For the first "Traditional Handicraft Challenge Prize," our recycled watering can made using an empty coffee can was covered in the newspaper and got a lot of attention.

July 7, 2006

We were requested to fill a special order for His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan.

November 22, 2006

For the second "Traditional Handicraft Challenge Prize," our “Watering Can Art” won an honorable mention.

February 2, 2008

We were recognized for our preservation of traditional handicrafts by Sumida Ward in Tokyo.
